Golf at Pinehaven

The treasure of Pinehaven is the golf course. Routed over sandy soil, it winds through white and pitch pines offering its challengers a fair test of golf. Balanced with par 3's and par 5's of varying lengths and par 4's that require strategic lines of play, golfer's will utilize every club in their bag.  The course backs up to the Pine Bush preserve and there are almost no houses visible from anywhere on the course, new members have exclaimed that every round is a peaceful mini-vacation. 

Pinehaven is a private golf club located in Guilderland, New York, located just west of Albany which opened in 1960.  The course’s demanding layout is carved through the pine barrens of the historic pine bush area of Albany County. Over the past several years, the club has undertaken a number of course renovation projects. The master plan, directed by noted course architect Rick Jacobson, made what was already one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in upstate New York even more so.

Pinehaven’s sand base course cushions golfers steps and offers speedy drainage, forcing virtually no course closure due to rainy weather. Pinehaven is usually the first course to open in the Spring, providing members with 7+ months of fine golf.

Pinehaven’s irrigation system completely waters tees, greens, fairways and rough making all 18 holes as beautiful as they are challenging.

Pinehaven’s experienced PGA professional staff is ready, willing and eager to assist you at all times. Our Pro Shop carries a full line of golf clubs and accessories as well as an extensive selection of apparel for men and women.

The Pro Shop is fully stocked with premium equipment, apparel, and accessories to ensure players are well-prepared for their round. Our experienced professional staff provides expert guidance and personalized support, helping golfers refine their skills and enhance their on-course performance. Comprehensive instructional programs are available through individual lessons, group clinics, and junior development initiatives. In addition, the club hosts well-organized golf outings tailored for corporate events, member groups, and special occasions, delivering a seamless and memorable golfing experience.

Pinenehaven’s experienced PGA professional staff is ready, willing and eager to assist you at all times. The Pro Shop carries an extensive line of golf clubs and accessories as well as a large selection of apparel for men and women.

The Golf Professionals are certified in custom club fitting.  A custom club fitting appointment is a great opportunity to be measured for the equipment that is best suited for your golf swing and skill level.  To make a appointment for custom club fittings please email   [email protected]..  A member of the Professional staff will coordinate a time and date suitable for your needs.

Brian Pierotti, PGA Head Golf Professional

Brian is entering his 22nd season as a PGA Professional at Pinehaven Country Club. He has served as our PGA Head Professional since 2015. Brian has been a Class A PGA Member since 2009. He has earned his certifications with Titleist, Ping and Callaway for golf club and golf ball fittings.  Brian and his wife, Brooke, have two daughters Olivia and Mia and a son Brady.

2026 Lessons Rates- PGA Head Professional Brian Pierotti
Individual Lesson -  $100 (60 minutes)
                                  $75   (30 minutes)
4- 30 minute lessons  - $250
4- 60 minute lessons  - $350
8- 60 minute lessons   - $700
9 hole playing lesson-   $200

Individual Junior Lessons (Under 18) - $70 (60 minutes)
3- 60 minute lessons - $200
6- 60 minute lessons - $400
9 hole playing lesson- $140

Clinic Rates - $25 per person for a 60 minutes (6:1 ratio maximum)

GOLF OUTINGS

Have your corporate or charitable golf tournament with us...

Each year we host many successful golf outings in which we assist from the incubation stages through the day of the event. It is our mission to create a “once in a lifetime experience” for your golf participants while helping to raise money and/or awareness for your organization.
 
By allowing us to host your event, you will have full access to a golf club that has hosted the EPSON tour and the 2021 New York State Women's Senior Amateur Championship, the 1998 and 2008 Men’s New York State Amateur Golf Championship and the 2026 & 2002 Women’s New York State Amateur Golf Championship. 
 
A Pinehaven Golf Outing Experience Includes:

  • PGA Professional on site.  Our staff is trained to assist with details and changes, and is responsible for running the golf portion of event.

  • Your group's "Private Club" for the day.   Exclusive use of the Club encompasses use of the Golf Course and facilities, including driving range, short game practice area, patio overlooking the 18th hole, locker rooms, and Pro Shop assistance with maintaining your event's results on our Score Board.  Our friendly, courteous, uniformed bag staff are the first to greet and assist your guests.

  • Full Banquet Facilities.  Whether it is lunch on the patio, cocktail stations  or full-course dinner in the dining room, our caterer, Capriccio Verde, will work with you to prepare exactly what you require for your event.
